So much has been written about motivation. Yet, I find that we are still trying to figure out what it it and where does it come from. Today, I reflect upon my lack of motivation and I am still able to do what I set my mind to do.
You have probably heard the term micro-aggression. Perhaps a colleague has shared experiencing one, or you have attended a workshop where you were given strategies to avoid them in the classroom. The problem with micro-aggressions is that we don't always recognize being the target of one or even worse being the perpetrator. Today I discuss how I became more aware of micro-aggressions.
A few months ago I came across the work of Dr. Hawkins and what is known as the Map of the Scale of Consciousness. This map is based on his research and intends to serve as a guide to understand the correlation between emotions and the levels of consciousness. Below is the chart.
